Upsight – Software Engineering Intern (Platform & Integrations)

We work with corporates, governments, investors, and startups to unlock new markets, build strategic partnerships, and translate ecosystem activity into actionable intelligence, digital tools, and venture opportunities.

Our flagship initiative, ChargedUp, is a growing electrification ecosystem connecting industry, technology, intelligence, and real-world deployment across Southeast Asia. Building on this ecosystem, we are developing ChargedUp Nexus, a digital platform connecting industry data, solutions, stakeholders, and tools to help organisations navigate and accelerate their electrification journey.

The Role
We are looking for a Software Engineering Intern to help build the technical foundations behind ChargedUp Nexus and our growing digital product suite.

This is a hands-on engineering role focused on backend development, APIs, databases, integrations, and platform infrastructure. You will work alongside our product and engineering team to build and ship real products used by industry.

Main Responsibilities
Platform Engineering & Integrations

• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, databases, and platform features
• Build integrations with third-party platforms, enterprise systems, and external data sources
• Work with EV, charging, mobility, mapping, AI/LLM, and other relevant APIs
• Develop data ingestion, processing, and integration workflows
• Support authentication, user management, and secure API access

Platform Quality & Development

• Conduct testing, debugging, and performance optimisation
• Support deployments and production releases
• Build internal tools, scripts, and automations where needed
• Document technical decisions, APIs, integrations, and system features
• Collaborate with the product and engineering team to deliver end-to-end features

Who Should Apply?

• Currently pursuing a university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
• Strong programming ability in JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar languages
• Experience building web applications, APIs, backend services, or technical projects
• Familiarity with REST APIs, databases, Git, and modern software development
• Exposure to Node.js, cloud platforms, Docker, CI/CD, AI/LLM APIs, or data engineering is an advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly
• Proactive and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving environment

Structure & Commitment

• Minimum 4 months, with longer commitments preferred
• Full-time candidates will be prioritised
• Must be able to start in Nov 2026 and have work authorisation in Singapore
• Monthly internship stipend
