Job Overview

As an IoT Engineer Intern, you will work closely with the Solution Architects and the delivery team on renewable energy, microgrid and Virtual Power Plant (VPP) projects, and the pre-sales opportunities related to them.

The successful candidate will be working with experienced personnel to handle areas including IoT application deployment, project solutioning, customer engagement and project management for renewable, microgrid and VPP related projects. 

Roles & Responsibilities

• Learn and execute projects from end to end — from pre-sales solutioning, through deployment and commissioning on site, to after-sales support
• Deploy and configure IoT applications for renewable, microgrid and VPP sites — onboarding inverters, meters, battery storage and EV chargers over industrial protocols such as Modbus, IEC 60870-5-104 and MQTT
• Work hands-on with state-of-the-art IoT technology from edge to cloud — edge controllers and gateways, time-series data pipelines, and the EnOS platform
• Apply machine learning and AI optimization to generation forecasting, energy dispatch and VPP control strategies
• Support the presales team in their sales pursuits
• Design technical solutions including architectures and technical proposals with the necessary hardware and software to ensure customers’ requirements are met
• Carry out project planning activities through cost estimation and risk mitigation
• Develop the business models of new energy through business analysis of potential opportunities from both technical and commercial perspectives

Desired Skills and Experience

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor/Master Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Knowledge and experience in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are strongly preferred.
• Good understanding or experience with software, renewable energy, and the power industry.
