We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drone Technician to support the deployment, maintenance, and operation of drone systems for industrial cleaning and inspection applications. The role involves working with advanced UAV systems, ensuring operational readiness, and supporting field missions across various environments including high-rise buildings and solar installations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of drones and associated equipment
- Assemble, configure, and test UAV systems before deployment
- Support field operations including drone setup, troubleshooting, and post-operation checks
- Monitor drone performance and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols
- Diagnose technical issues related to propulsion systems, batteries, sensors, and communication systems
- Maintain logs for maintenance, repairs, and flight operations
- Assist in integration of payload systems such as spray modules, cleaning attachments, and tethered systems
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and transport of drone equipment
- Work closely with pilots and engineering team for continuous system improvement
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- Hands-on experience with UAV/drone systems (DJI and Open Source platforms preferred)
- Basic understanding of electrical systems, batteries, and mechanical assemblies
- Familiarity with flight controllers (e.g., Pixhawk) is an advantage
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Willingness to work on-site, including outdoor and high-rise environments
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance (e.g., CAAS guidelines) is a plus
