Founded in the early 1950s, SINOHYDRO is originally well known as China's first brand in hydropower construction, responsible for 65% of the large- and medium-scale hydropower stations in the country. Project Planning and Coordination: Review project plans, drawings, and specifications; develop detailed project schedules; coordinate the use of materials, labour, and equipment.
Site Supervision and Management: Monitor the construction site to ensure work is carried out according to plans and specifications; implement quality control to ensure construction meets standards; enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
Problem Solving and Decision Making: Identify and resolve site issues; provide technical support and guidance.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain records of work progress, site conditions, and changes to plans; prepare and submit progress reports.
Communication and Coordination: Communicate with clients, project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders; attend project meetings, provide updates, and discuss issues.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure all work complies with building codes and standards; implement environmental measures.
Cost Management: Track project expenses, manage the budget, and handle the cost and schedule impact of change orders.
Testing and Inspection: Oversee the testing and inspection of materials and construction work to ensure compliance with specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals; provide guidance and training to junior engineers and other site staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in the related field for this position
- Able to work independently with minimum guidance
- Good team player with a keen desire to learn, contribute, advance, and progress with the company
- Willing to travel to the Tuas location
