Our client is looking for an experienced Business Analyst with deep expertise in Life Insurance domain and hands-on experience with the LifeAsia policy administration system.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across Life Insurance operations in the Singapore/APAC region.
  •  Work closely with functional and technical teams on LifeAsia (IFAS) implementations, upgrades, and customizations.
  •  Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases.
  •  Conduct gap analysis between current business processes and LifeAsia system capabilities.
  •  Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and architects to ensure solutions align with business needs.
  •  Lead and facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
  •  Support end-to-end testing cycles including SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
  •  Manage traceability matrices and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  •  Liaise with insurance regulators and ensure compliance with MAS guidelines and local regulatory requirements.
  •  Support data migration activities and validate data integrity during system transitions.
  •  Drive process improvement initiatives and identify opportunities for automation and digitization.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for Life Insurance products including Individual Life, Group Life, Annuities, and Health.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 7–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Life Insurance domain.
  • Hands-on functional experience with LifeAsia (IFAS) policy administration system is mandatory.
  • Strong understanding of Life Insurance products and processes:
  • Policy issuance, underwriting, and endorsements
  • Claims processing and settlements
  • Reinsurance and actuarial concepts
  • Renewal, lapse, and surrender processing
  • Commission management and agent operations
  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum as well as Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across business and IT.
