As a Video Journalist Intern at Berita Harian, you will support the editorial team in producing news and feature video content for digital platforms. You will be involved in news coverage, video filming, editing, and visual storytelling for current affairs and special features.
Key Responsibilities
Assist journalists and editors in news coverage and assignments
Film video footage for news stories, interviews, and features
Edit short-form videos for website and social media platforms
Write simple scripts, captions, or voice-over text for videos
Organise and manage video footage in line with editorial guidelines
Support ad-hoc video and multimedia projects as required
Requirements
Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Mass Communication, Media, Journalism, Broadcasting, or related fields
Strong interest in video journalism and visual storytelling
Basic knowledge of video filming techniques and camera equipment
Familiarity with video editing software (e.g. Adobe Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut Pro) is an advantage
Proficient in Malay (spoken and written); basic English proficiency preferred
Able to work in a fast-paced newsroom and flexible hours (including weekends when required)
Proactive, responsible, and a good team player
