Singapore Art Museum opened in 1996 as the first art museum in Singapore. Also known as SAM, we present contemporary art from a Southeast Asian perspective for artists, art lovers and the art curious in multiple venues across the island, including in the historic port area of Tanjong Pagar.

SAM is building one of the world's most important public collections of Southeast Asian contemporary art, with the aim of connecting the art and the artists to the public and future generations through exhibitions and programmes. Job Description

As an intern with the Marketing Communications team, you will support efforts to drive awareness and increase visitation for SAM’s exhibitions and programmes through engaging and memorable digital content. You will be involved in conceptualising, creating, and producing content tailored for social and digital platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram, as well as supporting broader marketing initiatives and campaigns.

Learning Outcomes

• Understand the suitability of various formats across digital and social platforms

• Develop the ability to create innovative and engaging digital content that improves video/reel views and fulfils marketing objectives

• Differentiate content strategies and formats suitable for various digital and social media platforms, particularly TikTok and Instagram

• Gain an understanding of social media content strategy and performance measurement

• Develop skills in crafting compelling captions and copy for social media posts

Intern Responsibilities

• Propose trendjacking ideas and/or interesting social content angles

• Self-produce digital assets such as short-form videos and social media posts for SAM’s exhibitions and programmes

• Provide feedback on social media posts developed by the social media agency where necessary

• Participate in ideation sessions with the team for marketing campaigns

• Support the marketing team in developing assets required for marketing collateral

Requirements

• Available to commit full-time (Monday to Friday) for a minimum of 3 months (up to 6 months), starting from May/Jun

• Currently pursuing or a recent graduate from Communications, Marketing, Arts Management, or a related field

• Creative, resourceful, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work well in a team

• Good knowledge of various social media platforms

• Preferably a TikTok/Instagram native who creates engaging and trendy content for their own social media

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Premiere Pro, or other graphic/video editing software or apps

• Good written and verbal communication skills
