Job Description

Accounts Assistant Intern 

Kick-start your accounting career with hands-on experience in a real finance team. As an Accounts Assistant Intern, you’ll work closely with experienced finance professionals and gain practical exposure to end-to-end accounting functions in a manufacturing environment with US GAAP reporting.

What You’ll Do

  • Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes such as invoice processing, reconciliations, and vendor/customer account management. 

  • Assist with General Ledger (GL) activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing tasks. 

  • Learn and assist in quarterly income tax computations. 

  • Support quarterly financial reporting, including US GAAP reporting packs and related schedules. 

  • Participate in stock take and inventory counts, and learn how inventory records are reconciled. 

  • Prepare audit and tax schedules to support compliance and financial reporting. 

  • Assist in year-end audit activities. 

  • Work alongside the finance team on ad-hoc projects and financial analysis. 

What You’ll Learn & Gain

  • Gain a strong understanding of core accounting functions, including AP, AR, and GL. 

  • Understand compliance and reporting requirements of US public companies. 

  • Learn how finance and operations work together in a manufacturing company. 

  • Get hands-on experience with daily AP and AR processes. 

  • Understand year-end stock count and fixed asset sighting procedures. 

  • Build real-world experience that strengthens your resume for future accounting or finance roles.
