Job Description

Beer Category Marketing Intern — Job Description

About the RoleYou’ll be the boots on the ground, the eyes in the aisles, and the pivot point between brand ambition and marketplace reality. As a Beer Catergory Marketing Intern, you’ll support the Sales Marketing team in bringing our beer brands to life in the channels that matter — from retail shelves to on-trade taps. You’ll be exposed to real campaigns, promotional execution, shopper insights, point-of-sale systems, and the mechanics of what gets liquid seen and sold.

Key Responsibilities

  • Activation & Execution: Support development and execution of trade marketing plans across channels — on-trade pubs/bars and off-trade grocery & convenience stores — ensuring materials and displays are installed correctly and on time.
  • Point of Sale Management: Coordinate and track POSM (point-of-sale materials) from order through delivery to stores and outlets.
  • Retail & Sales Support: Work with Sales/Business Development teams to align on activity schedules, promotional calendars, and planogram placement.
  • Data & Reporting: Monitor weekly depletion data, track competitive activity, and assist in synthesising insights for internal reporting.
  • Campaign Coordination: Assist with logistics, vendor coordination, and project timelines for below-the-line trade campaigns, seasonal pushes, and product launches.
  • Event Support: Help plan and support sampling, in-store tastings, and channel activations that drive engagement and trial.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with commercial, brand, eCommerce, and analytics teams to ensure execution aligns with broader marketing and business objectives.

What You’ll Learn

  • Trade planning and execution in a fast-moving consumer goods environment.
  • How to convert data into actionable trade decisions.
  • Shopper & outlet behaviour insights across channels.
  • Project management, stakeholder coordination, and cross-functional communication.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • Passion for beer, beverages, and consumer trends — you know fuller from lighter, and seasonal from year-round.
  • Highly organised, self-motivated, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic, execution-driven role.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/PowerPoint/Word).
  • Bonus: familiarity with data dashboards, basic analytics tools, or retail execution software.

Commitment & Location

  • Full-time internship, typically 6 months (specific duration negotiable).
  • Based in headquarters, with occasional market visits to retailers and outlets.
