Job Description

We are looking for a proactive, client-facing photographer to join the Firefly creative team. You will be the face of our brand on-location, capturing high-stakes corporate/government events and professional portraits. This is a hands-on role for a shooter who is confident directing VIPs, managing timelines, and delivering polished edits independently.

Your Primary Focus

  • Events (70%): Coverage of product launches, conferences, ministerial visits, and D&Ds.

  • Portraits (30%): On-site corporate headshots, team branding photos, and occasional family/private assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shoot: execute high-quality coverage for government and corporate clients (including VIP engagements).

  • Direct: Confidently manage shoot flow and direct groups for formal photos.

  • Edit: Cull, edit, and retouch images using Lightroom and Photoshop.

  • Communicate: Liaise professionally with clients and internal teams before and during shoots.

  • Flexibility: Assist with gear prep, site recces, and studio assignments as needed.

The Schedule

  • Work Week: 5.5 to 6 days (subject to project load).

  • Standard Hours: Weekdays 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM (flexible based on shoot times).

  • Non-Standard Hours: Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays (Off-in-lieu provided for rest days/PH work).

Requirements

  • Experience: Proven track record in event photography (freelance experience accepted).

  • Gear Knowledge: Proficiency with DSLR/Mirrorless systems and off-camera flash/external lighting is essential.

  • Software: Advanced skills in Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop.

  • Hardware: Must own a personal workstation capable of handling high-volume editing.

  • Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills; confident directing subjects and representing the agency on-site.
