Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:
As a supporting member of the Regional Commercial Team, the Regional Business Intelligence Intern will contribute to the maintenance and reporting of key sales-related datasets, supporting data driven decision-making within the Asia Pacific region, all under guidance and supervision. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic Data Support:
• Assist in collecting sales-related data for new product assessments and market analyses, including desk research.
• Assist in gathering sales-related data for business process analysis and reporting needs.

2. Data Governance and Compliance:
• Support data quality initiatives by identifying basic data inconsistencies and flagging them.
• Learn and adhere to established data access protocols and guidelines.

3. Data Analytics and Insights:
• Support the management of databases, including assisting with sales data extraction for IQVIA and Nicholas Hall.
• Contribute to the extraction, analysis, cleansing, and basic transformation of sales-related data using analytical tools.
• Assist in preparing secondary reports, primarily focused on sales performance and market share.
• Support and contribute to the ongoing maintenance of business intelligence data visualizations and dashboards to ensure data accuracy.
• Provide dedicated support for IQVIA quarterly reporting by assisting with sales data preparation and report generation under guidance.
• Perform ad-hoc maintenance tasks for the In-Market Sales dashboard, ensuring sales data integrity and availability.
• Assist in preparing regular performance reports for country management teams and regional marketing teams.
• Assist in preparing sales data slides for regional brand plan development.
• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) efforts for data-related issues by collecting relevant sales data information.
• Contribute to basic interpretation of sales performance data to support business insights under supervision.

4. Data Architecture and Infrastructure:
• Assist in maintaining existing data pipelines for IQVIA MIDAS and In-Market Sales dashboards, under direct supervision.
• Support the maintenance of existing data models for IQVIA MIDAS and In-Market Sales dashboards.

5. Driving Data Culture:
• Assist in preparing materials and logistics for training sessions on internal dashboards.
• Support Unit Testing, System Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities for our Data and Analytics applications, including documentation.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks as and when assigned by the Senior Lead, Data & Analytics.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
• Currently pursuing a university degree in Business, Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of market analytics, competitive intelligence, data quality concepts, and data cleansing techniques related to sales data.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel/Google Sheets) and familiarity with analytical languages (e.g., Excel formulas, basic SQL) for data manipulation.
• Basic proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and an understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
• Prior internship in BI/data analysis (sales focus) or relevant academic projects using BI solutions is highly preferred.
• Experience with large sales datasets (e.g., IQVIA, distributor data) and working in virtual teams is a plus.
• Assist in maintaining existing sales data models/dashboards and support the organization of technical and training documentation.
• Able to perform basic data profiling, interpret findings, identify common data errors, and generate basic insights under guidance. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to present basic data visuals clearly.
• Eager to learn, detail-oriented, accurate, motivated, and a collaborative team player able to manage tasks with guidance
