Founded in January 2019, Access is a social mobility charity providing career exposure opportunities for disadvantaged students in Singapore.
Disadvantaged students often face various barriers to achieving their fullest potential, such as self-limiting mindsets and unequal access to social networks. Recognising this, Access designs early intervention programmes that aim to empower disadvantaged students facing financial, social or academic challenges to explore various career paths and build the confidence to pursue their professional goals. We do this by working with global and local companies like Google, LinkedIn, Shell, and Endowus (amongst others) to provide career guidance opportunities to students from lesser-reached secondary schools and junior colleges. We are also expanding our outreach to bursary students from Institutes of Higher Learning as we scale our programmes in the coming years.
