Job Description

About the Role:

Zimplistic is currently looking for Food Science and Technology intern to join our R&D team in Singapore.You would be an integral part of the R&D organization and work within the Food Science and Technology Team in developing smart robotic kitchen appliances that make various kinds of flatbreads (Roti/Puri/Pizza/ Tortilla/Pita/Wrap/Gluten-Free).

As a Food Technologist intern, you would be involved in conducting experiments and analyzing data to support the R&D teams. You will work with the Food Technology team to develop solutions at the product level while maintaining and enhancing the food quality. 

 Responsibilities:

  • Assist the team in current on-going projects - perform product & component level experiments, analyze and interpret data, work on recipe creation.
  • Work closely with the engineering team by deriving design parameters for PoC improvement
  • Assisting QA/QC team to develop solutions for production issues whilst maintaining food quality
  • Deliver assigned milestones and tasks in full and on time
  • Document and maintain all test reports & records

Qualification & Key Skills:

  • Enrolled in related academic programs such as Food Engineering or Food Technology or Food Science major
  • Positive and enthusiastic team player with an aptitude to learn
  • Strong interpersonal, excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Self-motivated and works well in a fast-paced environment
