ZALORA is looking for a talented, customer-focused UI Designer to join the ZALORA Product Management Team. Your role will be to work closely with UX Designers, Product Managers and Developers to ensure that the UI visually communicates the path that the UX Designer has laid out for it, and that a consistent design language is applied across the product. You understand and can articulate a human-centered approach to design, and are ready to embrace an iterative design process backed by qualitative and quantitative data.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the UIUX Designers and Product Managers to deliver a beautiful user experience without sacrificing usability
• Develop cross-platform designs for both web and app experiences
• Own and develop the internal style guide and design system
• Work closely with UX Engineers to develop and maintain an efficient developer hand-off
• Work with the UX Designer to implement designs that are consistent with our design principles and true to our brand
• Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers, providing detailed UI specifications where applicable
• Establish and promote visual design guidelines, best practices and standards
• Stay on top of the latest standards, trends, and changes in visual and interaction design

Preferred Qualifications and Competencies:

• Bachelor degree or relevant experience
• Excellent portfolio with strong demonstration of user-centred web and mobile UI design
• Expertise in relevant design tools (e.g. Sketch, Figma, Invision, Framer or Axure)
• High sense of ownership, self-sufficient, hands-on, organised, driven to ensure high quality output
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact professionally with individuals at all levels and with end users
• Have a good technical background to understand possibilities and constraints, and be able to integrate well with different development teams.
• True team player who will thrive in an environment working with diverse, multidisciplinary teams (Product, Development, QA).
