The English enrichment centre was founded in 2014 with a vision to deliver exceptionally effective lessons that help to build a strong foundation in the English language and nurture writing skills in young students. From just 12 students and 1 branch in Lorong Ah Soo, Singapore, Write Edge has since expanded to 7 physical branches,1 online arm called WELearn and also offer online classes to students in Malaysia. Job Description

We are looking for a driven, resourceful, committed, creative and independent individual to join our team! Join a fast-growing SME and have a fruitful, hands-on experience with close mentorship. Your insightful contribution will help to develop, expand and maintain our existing business processes and systems.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage centre’s daily operations

2. Student-related tasks and duties

3. Payment-related tasks and duties

4. Answer enquiries (calls, walk-ins)

5. Handle parents’ complaints

6. Manage flow of students and

parents during transition of classes

7. Opening / closing of centre

8. Arrangement of replacement classes

9. Introduce programmes to parents

10. Manage weekly class schedule

11. Manage teachers’ weekly teaching

schedule

12. Any other adhoc tasks or duties

that may be assigned time to time

 

Jobscope in detail:

(1) Ensure smooth branch operations

Housekeeping

Stocks & pantry supplies

Printing & slotting of worksheets

Classroom labels

Ensure transition is smooth

Preparation of invoices

Printing schedule/ putting up notices

Maintaining printing / electricity costs

Increase number of students

Maximising the classes

 

(2) Provide excellent customer service to Parents and Students / Meeting their needs

New parents: Enquiries / Walk ins

Manage trials

Sharing of curriculum

On-boarding new students (Direct/ coordinate students into the correct class / timings)

Bridge between teachers & parents

Termly updates

Arrange / coordinate make up

Follow up on withdrawals

Troubleshoot

Handle complaints

 

(3) Management of Teachers / Replacement Teachers

Manage PT Teacher’s leave

Ensure they are dressed appropriately

Communications with parents

Ensure that they return worksheets to the students

Manage teachers if there is feedback from parents

 

Requirements:

- Proficient in Google Docs, Sheets, MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and technology in general

- Able to adapt to a fast-paced and changing

work environment

- Able to react and to solve problems

efficiently & effectively

- Communicate in verbal and written

English proficiently

- Excellent organisation skills

- Meticulous and able to pay high

attention to details

- Accountable and responsible for day

to day tasks

- Able to portray oneself as an extension of the company - an English and Writing specialist through one’s attire and speech professionally

- Warm and friendly disposition

- Ability to work well as a team

- Able to build rapport and

relationship with parents, students & colleagues

Additional Responsibilities / Requirements for Centre Managers’ Role:

1. Has at least 1-2 years of relevant working experience.

2. Able to exhibit peer leadership

3. Will be the overall In-charge of the Centre

4. Will helm projects independently

5. Able to implement customer recovery strategies independently

6. Able to implement strategies to increase the student numbers of the branch

 

Location(s):

Serangoon / Lorong Ah Soo / Sengkang / Tampines / Beauty World / Yishun / West

 

Work Hours:

Working days will be fixed, assigned

at the point of offer based on candidates' experience and company needs.

5 day work week - 4 weekdays and 1

weekend or 3 weekdays and 2 weekends

Mon to Fri: 1pm - 10pm

Saturday : 9am - 10pm (2021) / 830am - 830pm (2022 onwards)

Sunday: 9am - 10pm (2021) / 830am - 830pm (2022 onwards)
