We are seeking passionate and committed individuals to support our global team with the role based in Singapore on brand and campaign development, corporate and community engagement, digital communications and design work across a wide variety of mediums. Depending on the length of arranged working hours, a stipend will be remunerated for the internship. Job Description

This role is part of the Network Communications team at WWF International Communications and Marketing Division based in Singapore, reporting to the Network Communications leads (WWF & Earth Hour).

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Earth Hour Network Communications team leads in day-to-day liaison between WWF International team in Singapore and the entire Earth Hour Network (of more than 180 countries and territories) around the world (WWF and non-WWF Earth Hour organizers)
  • Disseminate weekly communications to all organisers via emails and calls and manage overall coordination with organizers
  • Keep all organizers informed and engaged via Workplace; includes creating weekly posts and assets to keep organizers excited
  • Search social media for potential organisers in select countries (gather information from organizers and disseminate Earth Hour assets)
  • Create surveys to assess the teams’ progress in campaign planning and reporting
  • Make edits to the earthhour.org and WWF websites when necessary
  • Monitor and work closely with teams globally to gather the latest on-the-ground stories on both Earth Hour and WWF campaigns
  • Execute creative ways on engaging organisers from the world over (conceptualize and execute incentives for organizers to be more engaged)
  • Assist in the seamless execution of Internal Communications strategy for Earth Hour 2020
  • Assist the Network Communications leads and Earth Hour operation team in creating country team reports, updating the internal CRM system and deployments to the Network
  • Initiate and maintain relationships with key country stakeholders (internal and external)
  • Produce a nice internal communications story about Earth Hour collaboration (using text, photos, videos)
  • Manage and update relevant coordination documents and records
  • Assist in WWF Network Communications tasks after Earth Hour
    • Create communications assets (posters, videos, gifs) for use in WWF Network engagement on Workplace
    • Monitor Workplace metrics for weekly reporting
    • Produce internal success stories / content showcasing collaboration and innovation (Together Possible)
  • Perform other duties as required

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Excellent written and verbal English skills are a must along with the maturity to work in a global, multi cultural environment
  • Organization and management skills to stay on top of projects
  • Professionalism in connecting with people (in person and virtually) in a cordial manner
  • Software skills such as basic design, photo and video editing, familiarity with email marketing tools is a bonus
  • Flexibility and ability to work on other projects as needed
  • Willingness to learn about the global Earth Hour campaign and conservation goals of WWF
  • Interest in environmental and sustainability issues
