WhyQ is Singapore's largest hawker food delivery service and is one of Singapore's fastest growing startups. Having raised our Series A funding round, we are expanding aggressively. This is an extremely exciting opportunity for a driven and hardworking individual to play a key role in a young and dynamic team.
Business Development Executives at WhyQ manage the core of our business - our hawker partner relationships. Reporting to the co-founders and working with the Head of Business Development and Head of Partnerships, the candidate will be responsible for managing and increasing the portfolio of products offered on our platform.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Expand WhyQ's business by meeting hawkers/food vendors and getting them onboard with WhyQ
2. Manage ad-hoc projects and new revenue verticals that the Business Development Team is working on
3. Identify and negotiate with new potential hawker/food vendor stalls to partner with
4. Renegotiate agreements with existing hawker/food vendor partners to strengthen relationships
5. Research and recommend new target markets for expansion
6. Work with customer service representatives to manage issues faced during daily operations
Competencies to learn:
1. Active participation in strategic planning process, including developing goals, objectives and processes
2. Leading important projects that are essential in growing the business
3. Improve in communication skills as there are frequent communications needed with the vendors and hawker partners
4. Participate in brainstorming sessions which helps scale the core business verticals.
