Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible in providing general direction towards a successful completion of a project, ensuring the disciplines follow the quality standard set forth by the company. The job entails but not limited to identification of critical aspects of project execution and addresses them before they manifest as problems; verification and management of man-hour consumption of different disciplines during the project execution.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Day to day control over number of capital projects with positive impact on quality including activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, procurement and engineering design.
  • Manage the delivery of high value and complex engineering projects through client and third- party resourcing to meet timing, cost and quality requirements.
  • Lead and ensure the capital processes for CAPEX are in place to obtain funding for project execution.
  • Ensure that capital project activities are represented in the site Production Plan and adequate resources and windows are catered.
  • Manages the project from feasibility, scheme, design, procurement, construction, commissioning and qualification, ensuring all necessary project processes are aligned with Project Management Framework and site project management procedures.
  • Design facilities to meet user requirements in accordance with Company standard engineering practices.
  • Provide technical specifications of equipment and establish the work scope required for successful implementation of projects.
  • Control and manage quality, budget, safety and schedule of the project.
  • Monthly project status reports and Change orders.
  • Budget monitoring and trend tracking.
  • Interface with related users / departments closely to coordinate all activities related to capital project execution.
  • Issue permits, review risk assessments / method statements and deal with day to day construction activities.
  • Support and coordinate qualification / validation activities.
  • Support the lead process engineer and provide design inputs in Design Qualification activities.
  • Lead Installation Qualification activities.
  • Issue commissioning programmes, lead commissioning activities and issue relevant reports.
  • Support the lead process engineer in Operational Qualification activities and ensure that facilities are in good working order.
  • Assess project resources and where required, administer contracts for, appoint, control and direct specific contractors and suppliers.
  • Promote safety with equipment and process designs.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and key Singapore regulations.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent
  • 3-5 years of prior experience in an engineering role
  • Experience in GMP environment will be an advantage
