At Ascott, we offer an array of internship opportunities with the intent of equipping you with the knowledge and skills to prepare you for a future career in hospitality management. You will be entrusted with meaningful projects and gain invaluable experiences of seeing projects from start to finish whilst working alongside experienced managers in the Ascott Way.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Power BI dashboards maintenance work
- Contribute to data mining architectures, modeling standards, reporting, and data transformation
- Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques, identify trends or patterns in complex data sets, and provide analytics reports to support business decisions
- Aid with R/Python related calculation on Data Modelling
- Collaborate with users, if necessary, to ensure business requirement are met, and clarification on doubt
- Skills required - Basic knowledge on data models, database design, data mining and segmentation, Microsoft Office tools
- Preference for Candidates with Proficiency in Visualization tools (Power BI, Tableu, etc.), and basic knowledge on SQL
Requirements
- Degree in data analytics, IT (Business Intelligence) or any related analytics discipline
- Possesses adequate knowledge of analytics and visualization softwares (e.g. R and Microsoft Power BI)
- Analytical and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Team player with excellent communications skills
- Passionate about solving problems – possesses a relentless need for investigation, exploration and to provide solutions
- Ability to commit part-time (2-3 days per week) or full-time for at least 3 months
