Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller

 The Financial Operations Associate is responsible for performing a variety of book-keeping, operational and administrative duties within the Finance Department. He/She will assist the Financial Controller in maintaining accurate financial and accounting records, preparing and processing of transactional documents to support sales, procurement, accounting, banking, payment and sales activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing invoices from suppliers and invoices to customers
  • Setting up payments on online banking
  • Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Develop and streamline operational efficiencies
  • Contact delinquent accounts
  • Participate to the month end closing process
  • Stay current on company policies & procedures and relevant laws and regulations
  • Develop and maintain administrative processes
  • Keep an organized filing system

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Obtained or working towards achieving an accounting qualification is desirable
  • Experience of working with Xero is desirable
  • Attention to details and first-time accuracy in recording transactions
  • Ability to explain finance procedures to non-finance people
  • Good level of initiative and willingness to resolve routine operational problems independently
  • Good communicator and ability to interact effectively with various internal and external counterparties.
  • Confident and assertive personality, with an ability to carry out duties with good humor, tact and diplomacy
  • Excellent IT skills, including experience in using Microsoft Office; in particular Outlook, Word, Excel and in using computer systems to maintain records and analyze data
