Job Description

Job Title:  Editorial Intern (1 position available)

The editorial intern occupies a versatile position that will be engaged in a number of different roles within the magazine. The work would include writing (specifically for the website), creating content on social media platforms including Instagram and TikTok, attending events (including magazine-led events where they might be expected to assist in the set-up and running of the event), and assisting BAZAAR stylists and creative directors on photo and video shoots for print, digital and social media. The editorial intern would also be expected to contribute ideas and suggestions, where relevant, through participation in twice-weekly meetings.

Essential Skills required: They should possess good writing skills, as well as be up to date on the latest social media platforms (such as Instagram Reels and TikTok). They should be creatively minded and any experience in photography, styling and videography would be a bonus. Most importantly all editorial interns must have a willingness to learn and to take on a variety of tasks ranging from administrative work to helping carry and pack items on shoots. Learning outcome and exposure: After the internship, the candidate can expect to have a good understanding of how a publication is run. Based on their talents and ability, the editorial intern is likely to also have developed a writing and styling assistant portfolio consisting of articles and shoots they have worked on. They will also receive continuous feedback on their work both formally and informally to get a better understanding of how they can improve and the areas in which they are performing well.

Working hours:  9am-6pm, 5 days a week for a minimum of 3 months. [Currently we do three days a week in the office and 2 days WFH which the editorial intern would follow].
