PROJECT DESCRIPTION
To develop a sensing component to detect proper tissue engagement in the body
JOB DESCRIPTIONS
• Design, develop and build cardiovascular-based sensing components
• Involve testing and verification of the electrical systems in cardiovascular-based sensing components
• Technical reporting on investigation of issues and design
• Create necessary engineering documentation, Bill of Material, and drawings.
• Drawing schematic and PCB layout design when needed
• Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer or Biomedical engineering.
• Familiarity with sensors and tissue physiology is a plus
• Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and work in a collaborative style
• Experience with early stage cardiovascular devices development is a strong plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities
• Operate as a team and/or independently while demonstrating flexibility to changing requirements
• Experience with PCB design, assembly and testing of analogue, digital and mixed signal circuits
• Well-versed in basic electronics: knowledge of fundamental circuits and their operation
• Understand and able to do general electrical prototyping work, such as soldering and wiring of electrical components
TIME FRAME
• Early Oct 2020 to Dec 2021* (Part Time)
• Jan 2021 to Jun 2021 (IA)
• Jun 2021 to Aug 2021 (Part Time)
• Aug 2021 to Dec 2021 (Part Time/FYP)
* Students who can start working part time as early as Oct 2020 will be highly preferred.
