Job Description

Based in in Singapore and reporting directly to the Director Corporate Responsibility Asia Pacific, the Corporate Responsibility (CR) & Innovation Project Management Intern shall in-particular support driving the deployment and coordination of an APAC wide Innovation Challenge contest and an APAC Wide Food Waste reduction digital program, contributing to Sodexo’s business growth, operational efficiency improvements, brand image, while at the same time  progressing against the commitments and objectives set in the Better Tomorrow 2025 , our global CR Roadmap and to meet the growing Innovation and Digital requirements.

Your main responsibilities include:

Project Management of the ‘WasteWatch’ program (50%):

WasteWatch is Sodexo’s global program to prevent food waste through raising awareness, monitoring data, and implementing actions. A digital system enables the measurement and tracking of food waste, while the operations take actions to reduce food waste within the kitchen and at the consumer level.

The intern shall project manage the WasteWatch program deployment in multiple countries by supporting the countries from start to finish in the various chosen clients’ sites and enabling different internal stakeholders to prepare, plan, and execute the project successfully within the agreed time frame. The project will be driven over a course of 5-6 months through different phases from preparation, training, go-live, baseline data collection, follow-up, targets, reduction actions, data analysis and reporting, and delivering final outcomes/presentation.

Project Management of the Innovation Challenge Contest (30%):

Strengthening our innovation capacity is, today, essential to support our global leadership position in Quality of Life Services. Sodexo’s Innovation mission is to develop, implement and deploy solid processes to help foster innovation and make it a reality in alignment with our activities/segments/regions strategies.

The intern will bring structure to project manage and ensure the delivering of the 2019 APAC Innovation Challenge for the countries in the APAC region. He/She will work in close relation with the the APAC Innovation Challenge Project manager, the Country Innovation community managers, the global Innovation Group team and Regional and the Country communication departments. Administer the Sodexo ideation & innovation platform eNOVhub. Animate the contest by encouraging participation, creating the buzz and making visible innovator’s ideas. Plan organize and deliver the selection sessions. Train jury members on the evaluation of the ideas

Other Corporate Responsibility Initiatives (20%):

The intern will also support the development or implementation of other existing or new Corporate Responsibility initiatives. For example: Responsible Sourcing of goods and services; programs that reduce carbon emissions; community engagement initiatives with a social impact, Health & Wellbeing programs, etc. The intern shall drive employee engagement and participation in support of the initiatives across different organizational and functional levels.

Supporting the internal data collection and follow-up of the Annual Better Tomorrow Site Survey, Carbon Footprint, and other reporting requirements.

Working with the communications department, The intern shall identify and define toolkit materials and presentations in support of the initiatives; and support potential strategic campaign/activities (external or internal) that further enhances Sodexo’s Corporate Responsibility leadership.

Internship period for at least 6 months starting from 1st week of January 2018.

Profile:

Master in Management / MBA candidate.

Project Management approach. Brings structure to a program. Ability to see projects through to completion. Accountable for their work and who have good time management skills.
