The Job

As a Production Supervisor, you will:

• Lead a team of 4 - 5 machinists
• Responsible for creating and proving CNC programmes for new components
• Identifying Machine and Cutting Tools for new and existing components
• Supervise the production team and assist in the design and commissioning of fixtures and tooling necessary for machining new components
• Training and development of operators to ensure proper execution of the defined processes
• Continuous improvement of manufacturing processes to achieve safety, quality, delivery and cost objectives
• Assist with the management and planning of production / workload in accordance with business priorities
• Provide solutions to decrease cycle times and overcome day to day machining issues

The Profile

• Experience in operating CNC Duplex Milling, CNC Milling, Vertical Milling, CNC Combination Horizontal and Vertical Machining Centre
• You have good knowledge of CNC programming techniques, production fixturing and production tooling design
• Experience in programming with Fanuc / Siemens / Mazatrol control systems
• You have strong knowledge of the equipment within a machine shop, experience of manufacturing precision parts to tight tolerances on CNC milling machines
• You can program horizontal and vertical milling machine centres
• Hands-on experience in milling on manual machines
• Knowledge of TPM programs
• You have the ability to understand interpret engineering drawings
• You possess excellent communication skills and are a proactive team player
