The Job

In this role, you will be working with project managers to translate features into stories and frontend engineers to define APIs. You will also be leading large-scale backend development work, delegating work to junior engineers and ensuring deadlines are met. You will regularly review the team's technical abilities and finding ways to drive improvement.

 

The Profile

  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a Software Engineer or similar role, with proficiency in Node.js and Javascript
  • You are experienced in server programming and optimising server performance
  • You are knowledgeable in HTML and CSS
  • You have worked with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis or MongoDB
  • You are able to demonstrate a good understanding of REST
  • You have experience deploying applications to cloud services such as AWS or Azure
  • You are logical in thinking with natural problem-solving skills
  • You are a self-learner who is able to make good assumptions and search for solutions proactively
  • You have excellent communication skills
  • You have the capabilities to contribute effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, and collaborative programming environment
