Job Description

JOB PURPOSE

To support the administration and operations of Family LifeAid, which aims to give underprivileged families a leg-up in life through provision of food assistance, as well as enrichment and education opportunities for children between 4 - 12 years old.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Operations

  • Ensure that proper administrative work is carried out for the FoodAid programme;
  • Attend to general enquiries pertaining to the services of CRD/SRC;
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment and management for FoodAid, Stories For All and Tuition Programme;
  • Attend home visits whenever necessary.

Administration

  • Ensure that propoer administrative work is carried out monthly for the FoodAid programme;
  • Transferring purchase receipts information into the softcopy database.

Other duties

  • Assist and support other CRD/SRC programmes/events/activities;;
  • Participate actively in training and team meetings;
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned.


JOB SPECIFICATION

Qualifications:

  • Singaporeans and PRs only - we are looking for a candidate who is able to speak a local language and/or dialect, as well as have undergone the local MOE education system. 

Additional skills and knowledge:

  • Good command of spoken and written English - the ability to converse in local dialects would be an advantage;
  • Computer literate, especially with Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel;
  • Experience volunteering/working for a local social service agency will be an advantage.

Desired behaviours

  • Willingness to assist with the day-to-day administration when required;
  • Self-motivated and able to complete tasks independently on time;
  • Enjoys working with volunteers;
  • Willingness to work beyond office hours if required.
