Company Profile

Consumers are increasingly concerned about their data privacy. There are many factors in play. Surveillance is increasing, especially during this COVID-19 period. There is debate on privacy concerns of contact tracing apps, especially within the European Union. Remote working has amplified the usage of digital tools, amplifying concerns of data privacy. Privacy policies are long, complex and hard to read. They also give the feeling of “take it or leave”;. Consumers have to accept the terms of the privacy policies to use the app.

Since 2019, our team has been working on a mobile app to educate & empower app users on their data privacy so they can make an informed consent to these privacy terms & choose apps suited to their preferences. News on latest data breaches, privacy tips, updates on privacy regulations in different regions will keep consumers abreast on the best ways to protect their data and their rights. Our app’s dashboard shows a comparison of mobile apps within a category so that consumers can gauge the relative intrusiveness between apps in a specific category.

We have been listening to user concerns on their privacy and gathering feedback on how our app addresses their concerns. Here is a link to our compiled user feedback:

European Commission has been saying that contact tracing apps must obey GDPR and protect privacy in general. We are studying the differences between how contact tracing apps collect, disseminate and process data. Identifying the best privacy practices for each app would enable us to advise builders of contact tracing apps how to address user concerns and best protect users’ data privacy.

Addressing user concerns on data privacy of contract tracing apps would make users more comfortable with regular usage. At Sieve, we believe that we need to address the root cause of the lack of usage of contact tracing apps. In this case, the root cause is privacy concerns and the feeling of constant surveillance.

Job Description

We are a startup launching a mobile to work on data privacy issues for mobile users.
As such, we take an experimentative approach to marketing to find out the most suitable channel to grow our user base and get our users to engage with us.
At the moment, we are focusing on engaging with users

What You Will Do
Increase our engagement on social media, primarily Instagram and LinkedIn.
Our key metric of increasing engagement is the number of users engaging with our content or posts once every 3 days.

Think about what assumptions on our strategy of increasing engagement.
Conduct experiments to validate or disprove these assumptions.

Find other social media partners to work with to increase our visibility.
For example, we can create posts on our partner's Instagram to increase their visibility, and, in exchange, our partner creates a post on our startup to increase our visibility.

Compensation
We will discuss compensation directly linked to our key metric - the number of users engaging with our content or posts every 3 days.
