We are looking for a creative, hard-working and enthusiastic individual with a passion for movies to join our team. Do you feel, breathe, and live movies? This could be your opportunity to get your foot in the door and gain more exposure and insight into the film industry.

As the Marketing Intern, you will be offered a chance to work with people from both film distribution and exhibition departments to promote Shaw’s premium offerings – IMAX, premiere, and Lumiere.

 Job scope:

• Preparing publicity materials and collaterals.
• Assisting with marketing and promotional campaign rollouts.
• Assisting with ad hoc screenings and events (able to work after office hours).
• Creating and preparing assets and copies for regular social media postings.
• Handling and coordinating logistics (manual work involved).
• Managing assets and creatives.
• Maintain and update reports for movies and campaigns/events.
• Daily media monitoring and archiving.
• Competitor monitoring, archiving and analysis.
• Research, curation, and preparation of materials for ad-hoc projects.
• Aside from duties specific to the position, the Marketing intern is also required to assist with miscellaneous administrative work, as well as provide general/additional support to Film/Theatre Marketing team(s) on special projects and events as needed.

Requirements:

• Passionate about the media and entertainment industry (TV, films, new media).
• Strong written and communication skills – Excellent command of written and spoken English. Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin is a plus.
• Knowledge in Microsoft Office (namely Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Ability to do manual work.
• Ability to work over-time (for occasional events and screenings).
• Must be an enthusiastic, hardworking and resourceful individual with a positive attitude.
• Meticulous, pro-active, organized and is able to work in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
• Able to keep calm under pressure, multi-task and prioritize their own workload to meet deadlines.
• Able to work as part of a team, but also complete assigned tasks without constant supervision.
• Film/entertainment or creative marketing-based experience is an advantage (either personal or professional).
