Job Description

Job Overview: 

Our Project Management Intern will be working closely with the Head of Fast Industrial Transformation (FIT) Program Asia Pacific. You will gain full spectrum exposure in Project Management. The position is located within a program organization, which forms interfaces between Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Supply Chain Management of Schaeffler’s Industrial Division Asia-Pacific. 

You will support the translation of management targets into projects and actionable steps, ensuring that projects are carried out according to their timeline and requirements, by means of program and project management methods. The projects are being developed regionally, starting with data/business analysis (ideation, business issue identification), over problem solving (stakeholder management - integration of all Functions) to implementation (program management - timely execution and support of functions).

 

Multi-Project Management of the Program FIT Preparation & Support: Preparation of weekly review meetings on global board level. 

  • Cascading of focus topics to workstream leaders and creating status updates according to project management priorities. Support the definition and communication of the governance and guidance of FIT program. 
  • Conduct user trainings especially regarding guidance and governance. 
  • Management reporting / preparation of presentations.
  • Support of FIT Workstreams & Workstream leaders on focus topics as business partner. 
  • Support project responsible in the stage gate process of the FIT program - ensuring that requirements are met. 
  • Challenge measure owners and key stakeholders with respect to data validation, consistency of data and timing of implementation, business impact, as well as target setting and target achievement process. 
  • Steer and conclude performance checks and data validation across workstreams. 

Focus field Sales and Marketing: 

  • Conduct analyses on behalf of the management. 
  • Support regional and global Pricing functions on Sales Price Variances and price harmonization efforts. 
  • Coordinate and liaise with agencies/vendors/stakeholders on marketing matters, campaign implementation, acquiring corporate giveaways.
  • Support in implementing marketing activities such as product launches, seminars, house fairs, tradeshows, etc, both, locally and overseas (SEA/AP), including liaising with stakeholders on requirements. 
  • Promote and represent our company in trade shows, events as well as advertising campaigns.
  • Update and ensure customer database are consistent and presentable. 
  • Assist in reporting and analysis for marketing campaigns. 

Our Ideal Candidate: 

  • Undergraduate studies (final year or completed) in Business Management, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Marketing, Business Informatics. 
  • Minimum commitment of 6 months from May 2022.
  • Basic PowerPoint, Intermediate to strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPS, etc.). 
  • Formal (and preferably practical) experience in project management, conceptualization, and planning. 
  • Hands-on “can do” attitude and creative problem solving. 
  • Efficiently work under pressure, adhere to deadlines and exhibit great creativity and resourcefulness.
  • Should have excellent effectual communication skills and equally effective people skills to communicate with stakeholders.
