Job Description

The Data Engineer/Analyst Intern supports the digitalization department in the provision, data virtualization, utilization, and analysis of data within Operations Management.

The intern will formulate business problems into architectural concepts, ETL approaches and advanced analytics problems in statistics, optimization, and simulation while executing these studies using data engineering and analytics tools to communicate insights to stakeholders.

Job Scope:

  • Extract, Transform, Load of Data from several sources into a standardized data platform
  • Perform necessary data manipulation
  • Planning, Design, Implementation and Automation of data pipelines
  • Define and refine architectural concepts with regards to big data analytics
  • Build end-to-end data analytics solutions with Machine Learning models and common analytics tools
  • Utilize Azure Cloud environment and toolkit for data analytics use cases


  • Self-responsibility for end-to-end project management
  • Identification, selection and implementation of suitable technologies to perform the required tasks based on a standardized toolkit portfolio
  • Partner with digital project managers, solutions architects, functional leaders, external solutions providers to architect and integrate data driven solutions
  • Work on ingesting and analysing real-time batch data to sense patterns and operations anomalies for improving efficiencies and productivities in various use cases
  • Understand business requirements, support solutions implementation, and perform ETL on large amounts of manufacturing data
  • Ability to analyse data and provide decision support to stakeholders is a key part
  • Develop statistical or probabilistic models to derive actionable insights for monitoring the quality and consistency of the analytical outcomes as part of the overall operations and maintenance of a big manufacturing data ecosystem

Prerequisites: 

  • Undergraduate in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent
  • IoT, data analytics experience
  • Interest in new technologies, such as cloud software, ML Ops, and AI
  • Experience in software engineering
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and acting
  • Presentation and communication skills
  • Good analytical and structural thinking and acting
  • Cooperative working attitude and strong target orientation
