Job Description

Job Title:

Financial Analyst, Corporate Functions (CF)

 

This position reports to the International Head of CF Controlling and CF FBP based in Singapore. The role will require regular interface with CF controllers in the countries, as well as HQ in France. The Financial Analyst Intern will be exposed to, and assist with, planning, consolidation, analysis, master data and system reporting of the CF International hub financial performance. This role will be heavily involved in the 2 key priorities in 2022*: (1) CF reporting process harmonization across different regions (Asia, AEME, LATAM) and (2) New Rolling Forecast Budgeting process, especially in the area of master data clean up and data reconciliations

 

The Trainees will gain exposure to the following functional areas:

Finance reporting systems & tools and master data

Finance technical and accounting rules

Finance planning, consolidation and analysis skills

Finance process, internal control and compliance risk

Regional Hub coordination and interfaces between HQ and countries

Key involvement in 2 main priorities in 2022*

 

Specific Responsibilities:

Key involvement and close working relationship with regional COE to drive the harmonization of CF Headcount and Cost reporting process across different regions in TM1 Boost. Drive standardization in reporting process, methodology and timeline for month end closing and work with different supporting functions to investigate gaps and implement action plans.

Coordinate in the rolling forecast budgeting process in 2022 being key link between Global FBP and Country FBP in aligning the baseline and key adjustments in the forecast numbers. Assist in data reconciliations and master data clean up for reporting accuracy, i.e. monthly review of Functional BIN departments.

Help exporting financial reports and analysis for the CF Operational (Finance, Sanofi Business Services, HR, ITS, Legal, Security, Real Estate and Facility management, Shared Services etc.)

Involve in monthly regional meeting with CF country controllers to present monthly performance or key topics and be exposed regional presentation platforms in front of the country controllers

Assist in overall International hub review of month end closing process to identify significant variances for follow up actions and alerts to Global FBP.

Responsible to review monthly HC data for CF at International hub level; check for reporting accuracy; follow up to resolve for any discrepancy.

Ensure the accuracy of the reporting in terms of Perimeter (Management centers and Cost Centers) as well as P&L Line/HC Function – and coordinate corrections with country controlling teams.

Participate in implementing useful tools and technical support for the forecasting and reporting of the Regional Hub HC and OPEX.

 

Perform ad hoc duties and assignments, as delegated

 

Competencies Trainee will learn during SGUnited Traineeship Programme:

Active participation in Financial planning, consolidation and analysis and various reporting systems & tools

Gain exposure to harmonization process across different regions, complexities and specificities

Exposed to new rolling forecast budgeting principles and process

Gain experience working as a Regional Hub interfaces with HQ and countries

Gain agility to work in a complex environment combining local and regional scope – as well as multiple functions and stakeholders

 

Qualifications:

 

Degree/ Masters

Proficient with Microsoft Excel (added advantage with knowledge on Pivot data analysis), Word and Power Point

Effective oral and written management communication skills
