Job Description

Responsibilities & Authorities: 1. Welcoming and Orientation of VIP guests / visitors. 2. Community Liaison – (a) Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with all agencies. (b) Establish and maintain liaison with community organizations and local resources that can benefit the foreign worker's community. (c) Serve as the dormitory’s representative to the different communities. 3. Crisis Management and Support – (a) Relay critical security information between management, the companies, and the community (b) Work with management to organize security and safety briefings, exercises to ensure emergency preparedness and disseminate information. (c) Work with the management and companies to rebuild the community after Crisis. 4. Events Planning – (a) Coordinate the development and implementation of relevant events to enhance morale in Singapore traditions, Dormitory culture, Social, educational, and recreational activities. (b) Encourage volunteerism through community outreach. (c) Coordinate morale-enhancing roadshows and workshops organized by other agencies, groups or individuals. 5. Guidance and Counselling – (a) Provide confidential support to individuals and groups within the community. (b) Utilize available resources to address concerns and meet needs. (c) Represent individual and/or collective concerns to post management as appropriate and help formulate solutions. 6. Information and Resource Management – (a) Gather, maintain and disseminate information to/from the community, management, and appropriate agencies. (b) Establish and maintain a resource centre. (c) Reporting and audit. 7. Any other duties assigned by immediate superior from time to time. 8
