Job Description
This is a specialised role that requires the candidate to have or develop deep knowledge of Optical networks or SDN. However, if you do not have such skills you must demonstrate to have good analytical skills, work attitude and exceptional ability to learn new technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Implement and commission optical (DWDM) or SDN networks
- Perform testing and data analysis in fibre characterisation work
- Carry out Level 2 technical support (24x7)
- Liaise with Vendor on Level 3 support
- Co-ordinate project logistic support for project procurement, RMA, and spares management
- Perform documentation and ensure audit compliance
- Participate in on going training activities
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or IT specialising in network technologies or telecommunications
- Applicant with 0 years of experience but has the passion in building networks are welcome to apply
- Passionate with hands-on work installing DWDM or SDN networking products and switches
- Good knowledge with Linux and Go-Lang is definitely an advantage
- Excellent customer-facing rapport as well as interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while at the same time maintaining a strong collaboration model with technical support and engineering resources
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with the ability to handle and resolve complex technical issues
