Job Description
- Write high quality, structured application/interface code and documentation in PHP
- Design, develop, and maintain PHP based internal and external applications
- Connect with stakeholders to define specifications for applications and projects
- Identify solutions through research and collaboration that resolves the root of problems as they arise
- Define functional and technical requirements for application software to develop skills and knowledge
- Work side by side with the end user/internal customer to develop, debug, and test application software for accuracy, integrity, interoperability and completeness to achieve desired results
- Work on cross-functional agile project teams to develop new functionality and applications
- Review and test team member’s code to ensure the software meets our high quality standards and operates efficiently
- Build your skill set in a collaborative, team-focused environment
Qualification
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A passion for Linux, Apache, Postgresql, & PHP (LAPP) development stack or other web programming languages
- Experience designing, querying, and updating databases in PostgreSQL
- Advanced understanding object-oriented principles
- Experience with MVC frameworks, specifically Laravel
Optional attributes that would make you a top candidate:
- Strong analytical skills and a passion for logic and design
- Experience developing automated customer processes and systems
- Basic knowledge of the Linux/Unix command line
- Familiarity with cloud hosting
- Background in refactoring/verifying systems through automated testing, and test-driven development in large scale systems
