Rakuten’s Global Ad Tech division is searching for a Product Manager Intern to join one of the teams that helps Merchants & Marketers across Rakuten companies to deliver the right advertisement to the right customer at the right time across search engines and display networks. We are on a mission to automate and optimize text, display, and video advertisements and we are looking for the right people to work together with.
Product Managers at Rakuten collaborate with Sales, Engineers, and Advertisers to build and execute product plans that address advertisers’ marketing budgets, customer needs, define value proposition, and increase potential sales - this requires a passion to find out opportunities to deliver bigger impact, quickly catch up changing advertisers needs, and market trends.
You'll have the opportunity to improve our product’s user experience and act on our product’s roadmap. We focus on being a collaborative, global organization striving to further realize the company’s mission, vision, and values.
• Our interns work with our teams and have the autonomy to shape their role on some of our projects.
• Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify customer behaviour and requirements and translate into product specifications.
• Conduct user interviews, create design prototypes, and test them with users.
• Give and receive feedback through design reviews & discussions.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager & Engineers (and people from other disciplines) to proactively seek and incorporate feedback.
• Learn quickly by asking great questions, finding how to work with your mentor and teammates effectively, and communicate the status of your work clearly.
REQUIREMENTS
• Inquisitive about software products and curious about the advertisement domain.
• Quick learning capability.
• Good communication skills, fluent in English, both written and oral.
INTERNSHIP PERIOD
• Available for at least 3 months. Preferably more.
• Part-time interns who can commit at least 3 working days a week are also welcome to apply.
