Being a Backend Development intern, you will be joining the engineering team to develop new products, scale the existing ones and manage deployments. You will:
- Be hands-on with backend development (Python flask, AWS, S3, EC2, Git)
- Own a workstream and deliver the development end-to-end
- Collaborate closely with the business, data analytics and modeling teams
- Go through the whole software development life cycle
- Have the freedom to evaluate and experiment with latest software technologies
- Showcase your work to the whole team in lunch&learns
- Have fun while building great products!
Requirements: In this role, you will be responsible for developing our API as well as the software stack required for the prediction engine used by some of the largest players in the logistics and maritime industry. You are required to:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, mathematics or related fields
- Be proficient in Python
- Be able to design RESTful APIs following best practices
- Have at least 1 year hands-on experience with one of Python based server frameworks: Flask, Django etc
- Have at least 1 year hands-on experience with git
- Be eager to learn and learn fast
