Polymerize.io is a materials informatics platform that enables chemical and polymer companies to research faster and cheaper, by using proprietary AI and ML models to optimise their R&D pipeline. With an all-in-one workspace that allows researchers to manage their data and let their data work for them, we are transforming the materials industry one polymer at a time.

Job Description

Why are we hiring?

Polymerize is now expanding rapidly to keep up with customer demands and the fast growth in the polymers and materials industry. To expand our suite of products and further enhance our current products, we are looking to push our team to greater heights by hiring more talents to help us transform the materials industry.

About the role

  • Design user flows and solutions of given problem statements, translating them into wireframes, prototypes, and UI artefacts
  • Collaborating with product managers, engineers, and marketers to take products from concept to delivery
  • UI/UX design with well-established design systems across desktop and mobile devices
  • Take ownership of the end-to-end implementation process with product owners and engineers
  • Test features and the end-product to ensure it is consistent and ready for release

What we need from you

  • A portfolio of past works is required (commercial experience or self-initiated projects are a big plus)
  • Some level of experience working with design systems or understanding about design systems. Experience working with Ant Design and/or closed-source company design systems is a plus
  • Some level of experience working with Figma—you have designed and shipped designs on Figma in school projects and/or past internships. If you have no experience with Figma, experience with Sketch or Adobe XD would be helpful
  • Very basic front-end development skills—you don't need to know how to build websites or apps, but you should at least know how to use developer tools and how to read CSS
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate design decisions to team members
  • Highly independent, resourceful with a passion for delivering solutions
  • Experience working in an Agile development process, or working in a deep tech startup is a plus
