Job Description

Hi...

Working in a photography studio isn't akin to working in a mega corporation. We are too small for politics, have ample break time to still be in touch with the world (and your dreams) but most importantly, I hope my interns are here to learn to be resourceful - to be many things at once so that we actually get beautiful things done.

You are to be my Personal Assistant (a.k.a my P.A) and it's fun to know there's a whole lot going on when running a proper studio. However, let me list down what takes precedence because just like there are priorities in life, there are priorities within the company.

I. Marketing (Digital & Social Media) - Digital Marketing is an essential channel for us to reach our clients, here's some of the ways you'll be involved:

1. Creating feature videos of portfolio works on Social Media

2. Filming "Stories" and other content for Social Media

II. Photography Assistance - We are photographers by trade. This means my PA will probably follow the team around during shoots to assist and support. It includes learning how to:

1. Set up and position lighting equipment

2. Assist our photographers to service our clients

3. Printing, cutting and packaging of Fine Art Prints

4. Packing of print products for delivery

5. Preparing for guest viewings

6. Studio rental and assisting external photographers

III. Studio Maintenance - While these fundamental tasks may seem insignificant at the beginning, they are critical for delivering an intangible experience for our guests. We take pride in our eclectic studio and would expect everyone to maintain a delightful working space.

1. Maintain studio cleanliness and aesthetics (A proper place for everything)

2. How to set the mood. Music, scent, lighting. (Yup, we take this seriously)

ON WORKING HOURS AND REMUNERATION

1. As your role is a mix of both desk and field work, your days with us will be pretty flexible. We would require a commitment of 04 half-days a week, 04 hours per day - with a mixture of home-based and in studio work.

2. We find this arrangement allows ample time for rest and personal endeavours while gaining vocational experience at the same time. We offer a remuneration of $25 per half-day of work with a total monthly payout of $400. Should additional dates be required, we will remunerate based on the same payout rates.

Thank you for reading. If joining us appeals to you, you are most welcome to apply to be a part of this family.
