Omnistream is hiring an Econometrics Intern. We are looking for detail-oriented, organised, highly-motivated and responsible individuals who are able to work with large and complicated data sets. The intern will work with the engineering and business development team to predict the impact of policies on future outcomes and other time series, specifically in the retail sector. Some knowledge of econometrics, as well as basic familiarity with Matlab or R is necessary, and experience with SQL would be an advantage.
- Developing and designing new statistical models/ metrics to monitor the changes in the retail market
- Research under the guidance of the engineering team to obtain, access, and analyse data
- Conduct analysis of internal and external data to build a readiness economics or econometrics model
- Apply econometrics/ statistical techniques to model market behaviour and forecast in Macro and Micro model
- Communicate findings to executives and cross-functional teams in Product, Engineering, Design, Finance and throughout the company
Create in-depth economic analyses that drive data-driven business strategy
Requirements:
- Full-time undergraduates majoring in economics, finance, applied mathematics or other quantitative disciplines
- Strong econometrics skills
- Experience gathering, sourcing, connecting, and interpreting data both in Macro and Micro level
- Experience in data visualisation tools such as Powerbi/ Tableau
- Experience in market sizing/ forecasting
