Job Description
Assess Industry Landscape
  • Synthesise analysis of emerging industry trends of specific sector(s)
  • Direct and evaluate emerging academic and industry research in specific sector(s)
  • Evaluate impact of potential government initiatives and regulatory changes on the industry and organisation- Monitor business environment to determine potential impact and/or changes on sales targets- Evaluate and implement initiatives to support government funding initiatives and programmes
  • Evaluate current and emerging client needs in context of the organisation's products and services
  • Evaluate competitors' performance to assess market position and identify expansion opportunities
  • Analyse global industry context and trends to identify expansion opportunities
  • Establish strong industry networks across clients, vendors, partners and institutions
  • Identify and establish strategic business partnership to contribute to organisational strategies and objectives
Drive Portfolio Innovation & Growth
  • Establish portfolio management strategies for the organisation's products and services
  • Lead evaluation of the organisation's products and services portfolio performance based on business objectives and performance standards
  • Endorse priority innovation and research areas for the organisation
  • Evaluate proposed improvement areas and innovation applications across the organisation
  • Champion research findings and innovations across the organisation and broader industry networks
  • Lead productivity and innovation culture within the organisation 
Manage Products & Services
  • Review and present the business's products and services portfolio based on business objectives and performance standards
  • Understand the supply of and address the demand for the business's products and services
  • Recommend enhancement opportunities across the business's products and services portfolio based on business objectives
Drive Sales Excellence
  • Review and present the business's sales strategies and policies to ensure alignment with product development priorities
  • Review and endorse proposals and sales collaterals based on evaluation of business opportunities
  • Lead sales negotiations and pitch processes- Plan and prepare for negotiation process with different stakeholders
Drive Organisational Performance
  • Manage the organisation’s enterprise risk management and mitigation plans within the Business
  • Manage the organisation's corporate governance regulations within the Business
  • Manage the organisation's business continuity strategies, policies and guidelines within the Business
  • Manage organisational quality assurance philosophy and policies within the Business
  • Manage business budgets and financial targets
  • Evaluate the business financial performance and viability of products and services 
Manage Stakeholders
  • Champion stakeholder management strategies
  • Develop and sustain professional relationships with strategic business partners to support organisational strategies and objectives
  • Review quality of professional relationships with strategic business partners to identify areas for improvement
  • Implement stakeholder management strategies to drive collaboration
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and feedback
Manage Vendors
  • Review and refine vendor requirements specification
  • Manage vendor selection processes
  • Manage vendor performance and adherence to service level standards
  • Cultivate strong relationships with vendors
  • Manage contractual and performance issues with existing vendors
Develop Marketing Plans
  • Liaise with vendors or services providers in the creation of the organisation's multi-channel marketing campaigns
  • Plan and implement marketing campaigns and events with the corporate marketing team
Achieving Business Development Excellence
  • Co-create sales and marketing strategies that are in line with the business objectives
  • Establish sales volume, market share and profit objectives for products and services
  • Oversee development of the organisation's sales expense budgets
  • Evaluate industry landscape and networks to anticipate potential sales opportunities
  • Set the overall direction for proposals and sales collaterals based on evaluation of business opportunities
  • Oversee sales negotiations and pitch processes
  • Oversee the development and execution of the business marketing campaigns 
  • Evaluate marketing outcomes to assess impact and return on investment
 

Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or in any related field
