Job Description

Team information

Digital Innovation is the technology heart of what we do in NVPC, being the steward of the City of Good for Singapore, connecting individuals, organisations and leaders to give their best to others. Digital Innovation team creates and builds digital platforms such as Giving.sg as part of this vision. Giving.sg is a national giving platform. The team supporting Giving.sg aims to constantly improve and innovate the digital platform to enable the community to come together to share resources and meet the growing needs of connecting givers and receivers.

Project

We are looking for an energetic and passionate individual to join the Giving.sg family as an IT Intern! You will work closely with internal stakeholders and application vendor to support change development work on Giving.sg web portal and APIs. This includes gathering of business requirements, reviewing proposed solutions, performing and coordinating user acceptance testing and ensuring new Giving.sg product features and enhancements meet business requirements and are fit for production release.

You will be actively involved in the conceptualisation of Digital Kampung initiative and contribute to the delivery of Phase 1 in building a digital ecosystem to enable the connecting of givers and receivers and sharing of giving resources and services.

You will be part of a passionate team who is on an exciting journey of building the next generation of Giving.sg that aspires to build and shape altruism through digital innovation.

Learning opportunity

  • Opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of both offline and online giving landscape in Singapore.
  • Able to gain hands-on experience in the change management of digital products.
  • Opportunity to learn about user research in identifying problems and design opportunities for better user experience of digital products.

Responsibilities

  • Be the operational heart of a cross-functional team of internal stakeholders, customer service, business analysts, developers to deliver high quality product features that meet business requirements.
  • Relentlessly thinking out-of-the-box for solutions to problems or innovate new processes to keep business operations as efficient as possible.
  • Manage, track and follow-up on production issues raised by internal stakeholders.
  • Strive to understand and troubleshoot technical issues when needed.
  • Be part of Individual Giving Research project to analyze the research findings and work in collaboration with the solution & delivery team to recommend potential new system features for next generation of Giving.sg.

Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Computer Engineering
  • Some IT experience either in school group projects or in individual capacity will be advantageous.
  • Keen interest to understand the giving landscape in Singapore.
  • Passionate to want to make a difference and contribute to the giving ecosystem.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others to complete a task or project.
  • Open to learning new technologies
