WHO ARE WE 

Mighty Velo is Singapore’s sole distributor of performance foldable bikes manufactured by Pacific Cycles of Taiwan for the SEA markets. We are an independent Singaporean-owned SME with a small group of working staff, both full-time and interns who work closely together to ensure that our customers go home with their bikes happy and satisfied. We have a total of four workplace locations: a Bike Building and Distribution Warehouse, a Technical Service Centre, our Marketing and HR Office headquartered at Tai Seng, as well as our Bike Experience store located at Breadtalk IHQ Building. 

Job Description

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Research new and relevant government schemes such as SG Traineeship Scheme, Global Talent Programme and PMax, Career Support Programme (CSP), Professional Conversion Programme and Mid-Career Traineeship

  • Memorise the criteria and the details of each career salary and training support programme

  • Read, check, verify and pay out to suppliers’ billing invoices

  • Create a simple annual leave and medical care system for employees

  • Organise medical certificates and pay out to staff for medical allowance

  • Organise company expenses and receipts for submission to external accountant

  • Manage office stationery and liaise with supplier for stocks and payment

  • Take product and lifestyle photos using office camera equipment and phone

  • Use Workplace by Facebook app 

  • Read resumes and arrange for job interviews and how to screen job candidates for various job openings

  • Write appropriate content for job openings and post in various job posting platforms

LEARNING OUTCOMES & OBJECTIVES

  • Learn to work in a commercial workplace 

  • Learn to work in teams in the workplace, whether in the physical workplace or from home

  • Learn to be on time for work and to be able to communicate effectively with other interns, colleagues and bosses

  • Learn to use business tecnhnology apps for our work

  • Be exposed in various areas of HR & Admin

  • To become industry-ready after internship. To gain self confidence and adapt to changes and acquire new HR and admin skills in the workplace

REQUIREMENTS

  • Studying a diploma or degree in HR, Business Administration or Business Studies 

  • Good written and spoken English

  • An independent person able to make responsible decisions

  • Enjoy interacting with colleagues and mentors and external agencies 

  • Willing to meet deadlines

  • Good organisational skills
