Responsibilities
- Placing purchase orders with suppliers for the procurement of all production products and material as required
- Sending RFQ to suppliers and compiling quotations
- Coordinating the introduction of new suppliers and/or materials, due to new product development requirements
- Ensuring and promoting compliance to company procurement policies and procedures
- Proactively reporting product and material availability issues
- Assisting with the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a Logistics / Supply Chain / Manufacturing Operations / Engineering program in an institute of higher learning
- Proficient with MS Office suite – advanced skills with MS Excel
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
- Excellent organisation, communication and follow-up skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable with speaking in Mandarin to liaise with suppliers based in China for RFQs and for following up with payment
