Established in 1997, MGG is a Singapore-based software house with offices in Singapore and Indonesia.
For the past 20-some years, our team of developers and engineers are driven by a passion to apply new technology knowledge to the development of software solutions for clients, especially in the space of mobile apps and backend systems.
Be it native or hybrid mobile apps, MEAN or LAMP, SQL or no-SQL, two-tier or three-tier architectures, Javascript or PHP, or simply CSS or XML, our team is trained to be highly conversant in a wide spectrum of technologies and languages.
Through the years, MGG has have worked on a wide spectrum of industry-based projects and served a number of SMEs and large organisations locally and overseas.
Our efforts include developing national-level apps and backend systems for fintech and e-payment, mobile learning platforms for local agencies, and consumer products like radio streaming (and soon to develop instant chat messaging) for a local media organisation.
We are looking for Android developer interns to join our ranks for a soon-to-commence project.
The job entails programing work to perform a minor UI/UX refresh of a six-year-old mobile app to meet current users' expectations.
Basic knowledge of Android Studio (Java) and Visual Studio (XML) is a must as the development work is expected to cut across both platforms.
Training provided by the Technical Project Leader will be geared towards the project's requirement of product restructuring. Training will not cover introductions or lessons on how to use the software tools or languages.
Interns with good performance and demonstrate strong analytical and programming skills may be offered longer term positions.
Responsibilities
- Review existing UI/UX with Technical Project Leader and Design Lead to identify areas for improvements
- Develop sample screens based on design style guide for client review and approval
- Code changes in Android Studio and Visual Studio to create approved UI/UX
- UI/UX and functional code testing of mobile app to ensure that completed items are fully functional according to requirements.
Requirements

- Singaporean preferred
- Able to adapt to flexible arrangement of working in our office or client's location
- Analytical mindset and good problem-solving skills
- Able to work as part of a team
