Job Description

We are looking for an innovative Digital Marketing Intern to join our small and vibrant team. You will help us use social media and digital branding to market our magazines, websites, events and conferences. Primarily, you will assist with and manage digital events as well as social media creation, analysis and reporting.

You need social media experience or training and the desire to improve and expand your new media skills. You should be data driven and an excellent communicator. Creativity and resourcefulness are assets. As part of production, you will also work closely with the sales team for marketing projects.

This internship is an opportunity to implement and expand social media for a strong B2B brand, and develop marketing and project planning skills in a friendly and supportive environment. 

There is an opportunity for this position to convert to a paid full-time employee role. Flexi-work hours are possible.

 

  • Set up and manage digital marketing strategies across markets and products
  • Establish best practices in digital marketing across functions like SEO, Performance Marketing, Social Media, Digital Content and UX/UI
  • Research on customer and product trends
  • Analyze web traffic metrics and suggest solutions to boost desktop and mobile performance
  • Audit and recommend solutions to grow SEO, Performance Marketing and social media channels in terms of sales and profitability
  • Identify gaps in digital channels and marketing strategies, and offer long and short-term strategies and tactics
  • Ensure all traffic channels perform optimally by setting relevant KPIs as well as measuring key metrics
  • Build a strong social strategy to grow followers, brand interest and engagement
  • Deep dive into Google Analytics as well as other measuring platforms to gain digital performance insights
  • Liaise with Sales and colleagues in the delivery team to optimize customer experiences and ensure brand consistency
  • Ensure brand consistency through all marketing channels and efforts
  • Stay up-to-date with digital technology developments pertaining to mobile apps, UX enhancement tools, A/B testing tools
  • Establish a strong web presence to gain new online customers and grow retention rate

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Marketing, Advertising or relevant field
  • Good understanding of SEO, Performance Marketing and Social Media strategies and tools
  • Experience implementing and optimizing Google Ads, Facebook, LinkedIn and affiliate campaigns
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools like Google Analytics
  • Hands-on experience with tracking tools and setting up measuring strategies
  • Familiarity with web design, CSS and HTML for both desktop and mobile a strong asset
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Project management skills
