A few nuggets about me.

Prior to Joppa, I spent most of my time in HR consulting, helping organizations to transform their operating and service delivery models. At my core, I am motivated by finding a better way of delivering HR, and that means utilizing a mix of process, data, and technology to drive value.

Joppa’s purpose is to deliver outstanding HR-as-a-service for our clients, enabling HRBPs and their management teams to focus on the strategic business and people priorities.

The HR-as-a-service model is not new. On the Talent Acquisition end of the employee journey, there is the highly competitive and saturated recruitment and headhunting industry. Corporate services and insurance firms also support many HR teams with payroll, insurance, and benefits.

The remaining components of the people operations are still done internally, often with a sub-optimal allocation of resources. Joppa wants to change by providing end to end HR-as-a-service built on our process optimization and continuous improvement.

Job Description

The internship.

As a newly founded start-up, we need to hustle. I will be responsible for business development for paid HR consulting/HR-as-a-service work. 

The 3 objectives for your internship are:

  1. Hunt down organizations that may are open to our HR-as-a-service model, and offer them a no-fees engagement

  2. Deliver on the HR-as-a-service engagement with my guidance/partnership

  3. Develop and implement marketing activities needed to achieve objectives 1 and 2

You are logical, analytical, and data-driven. You do not always have to have the right answer, but you need to articulate how you arrived at your opinion.

You get things done. You are seeking new ways to grow the business. You are a sponge for new knowledge required to achieve your objectives (above).
