Job Description

The role

This role includes oversight of multi-account content development across lifestyle, technology and business sectors, and is responsible for collaborating with graphic designers on execution of content plan to reach a range of stakeholder audiences. This person will be responsible for communicating corporate messages, clients’ product and services, events, profiles and industry insights; elevating corporate visibility regionally. This role requires the manager to work closely with the managing director, objectives and strategies with colleagues across internal and external communications.

This position requires a passion for digital media, business communication and visual communication. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to build and lead scalable proactive communications programs, with tangible results. Solid media and business understanding, strategic thinking and creative communications skills, a deep understanding of our business and client portfolio are crucial. Superior written and verbal English is mandatory. Mandarin verbal and written skill is a big plus.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project management of newsletters for IDEA communication, our subsidiaries and our clients, from creating the calendar, timeline to sourcing background materials, editing copy and managing templating, lay outing and distributing using content management software
  • Copywriting and video production/editting for marketing collateral including newsletters, websites, social media snippets and blogs
  • Assisting with web editorial content calendar making and ensure a steady and consistent flow of content for E newsletter, social media and media websites/blogs.
  • Make social media calendar in partnership with social media manager, in tandem with PR and marketing targets and plans
  • Support PR manager with the proactive and reactive media engagement and media tracking and measurement as and when needed
  • Create text and graphic contents for webinars and newsletters

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written communication and superior attention to detail. Adept at prioritising workload and keeping team manager and business stakeholders informed on daily basis
  • Initiative-taking: Demonstrate a proactive and motivated work ethic and show initiative and problem-solving capabilities
  • Writing Skills: outstanding writing ability across a range of formats including media releases and media pitches, news articles, feature length editorials, blog articles, website copy, EDMs
  • Creative capability – Exceptional writing and editing skills and the ability to adapt writing style to suit a range of communication styles for multiple online/offline channels
  • Organisation skill: Build and maintain report schedules, editorial calendars
  • ideally 2-3 years’ relevant experience working in an in-house marketing and communications team ideally within B2B business /industrial / technology services, or with a leading business media title,
  • Qualification in mass communications/ literature /management / public relations / digital marketing / English or other related fields
  • Proficiency with MS word suit of soft wares, content management tools (Listrak, mailchimp, Cision, hootsuite)
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact at all levels across the business and with external media contacts professionally, genuinely, positively and with integrity
  • Team oriented: Actively work to support team members’ projects and goals, working collaboratively, work as a team member, show appropriate behaviours and respect to all our employees and work with a spirit of co-operation
  • Ethics & Professionalism: Earn the trust, respect of co-workers through consistent honesty, forthrightness and professionalism in all interactions
