Full description:
Cycling Instructors will teach a variety of courses offered by HUB at the workplace, schools, and in community centres.
Working under the direction of the Bike Education and Business and Bicycling program managers, Cycling Instructors work on call, and are kept informed about course bookings as they come up. It is the contractor's responsibility to respond with their availability, and are booked on an as-needed basis. Ideal candidates are individuals with flesible weekday and weekend availability looking for part-time work.
Responsibilities:
⁃ Manage logistics and prepare equipment for curated rides
⁃ Delivering programmes in a professional and reliable manner while Inspiring a passion for Cycling and discovery in course participants
⁃ Working independently and exercising good judgment, discretion, and tact
⁃ Communicating consistently and promptly with program managers regarding scheduling, course feedback, and any incidents that occur while on-site
⁃ Development of facilitator team according to business requirements
Qualifications:
⁃ experience in group instruction, facilitation and safety management
⁃ Good knowledge of commuter cycling including being a proficient cyclist and having a good working knowledge of Singapore’s Cycling network
⁃ Flexibility, interpersonal skills, and enthusiasm are key to success in this position
⁃ Love of cycling for transportation preferred. Familiarity, interest in the Brompton folding bicycle, it’s unique features and bike maintenance is an advantage
⁃ Ability to execute logistics set up and posses a class 3 Drivers license
