Job Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a research intern to join us in our Research and Development team. The role will allow you to contribute and participate in the design and development of an automated Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) platform and assay.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct testing and document reports on an automated sample-to-result NGS fluidic assay platform in accordance to design control requirements
- Perform fluidic DNA / RNA extraction from various sample materials
- Participate in the design and development of NGS assays and fluidic platform
- Work closely with scientists and engineers in the Research and Development team
Job Requirements & Attributes
- Candidate must possess or have finished at least 3 semesters in a relevant diploma or university course in Molecular Biology, Life Science, Bioengineering or equivalent.
- Prior experience in independent research in a wet laboratory setting is necessary. Experience in microfluidics or molecular diagnostic assay is a plus.
- Good interpersonal skills for interacting with team members
- Driven and committed to the success of the development
