Job Overview
A Full Stack Software Engineer is responsible for front and back-end web development, as well as mobile application development. The Full Stack Software Engineer must have knowledge in all stages of software development.
For frontend, he/she must have the artistry to design attractive interactions. They must view their creations from the user’s point of view, know how he is likely to use a site and what tasks he wants to accomplish. While they may code independently, they must be able to work in a team with programmers and other technical staff. They must also be able to communicate his ideas in writing and verbally to managers and website owners who may not be technically well versed. Constant testing and updating is necessary for their sites to remain up to date.
For backend, he/she is responsible for development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. He/she also performs integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server-side logic, writing reusable, testable, and efficient code.
For mobile development, he/she is responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of iOS and Android devices including mobile phones and tablet computers. His/her primary focus will be development of iOS and Android applications and their integration with back-end services.
Essential Functions
Understand product requirements and solution-ing
Develop Front-end web application
Develop Front-end mobile application
Design and develop Back-end Server API to fulfil business requirements
Perform Unit Testing and System Integration Testing (SIT)
Build and roll out applications to different environments
Prepare mobile application for release in iOS and Android App Store
Production issues support on a rotation basis
Work alongside Product Team for enhancement features, or bug fixes
Write high quality, maintainable and scalable codes
Education/ Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
Strong software technical background
Proficiency with fundamental Front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Familiarity with at least 1 JavaScript frameworks such as Angular JS and React
Proficiency with server-side languages such as TypeScript and NodeJS
Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL and MongoDB
Attention of details and good problem-solving skills
Ability to work efficiently independently or within a team
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure with tight deadlines
Added advantage if you possess the following:
Experience with AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3 and Route53
Experience with Swift and/or Kotlin and React-Native for mobile app development
Working knowledge of healthcare industry data structure, standards and requirements
Agile experience like Scrum, Kanban, code reviews, rapid iteration
